The vendor, a global leader in Observability and Digital Experience, strengthens management with an industry veteran
Riverbed, a leader in AI Observability, has named Kris Luhrsen as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Luhrsen will lead Riverbed's growth and business strategies, overseeing channel, strategic partnerships, renewals, customer support, IT consulting, professional services and sales operations.

Luhrsen brings decades of experience leading sales organizations, improving business strategies and managing growth. It boasts important expertise in the implementation of processes that improve coherence, efficiency and productivity within companies.
Prior to joining Riverbed, Luhrsen was Chief Revenue Officer at Venafi, a cybersecurity vendor acquired by CyberArk. He also served as President of North America Sales at SUSE, an open-source software company, and held senior sales positions at VMware and Cisco.
Luhrsen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University's Kelly School of Business.
Luhrsen's appointment follows the recent release of the Riverbed Platform and the introduction of new data observability and AIOps solutions, including Aternity Mobile, NPM+ to overcome network blind spots, Riverbed IQ 2.0 and the first third-party module for Riverbed Unified Agent – Aternity for Intel Thunderbolt and Wi-Fi. Additionally, Riverbed recently received numerous recognitions, including: Leader in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools (DEX); Leader in the GigaOm Radar Report 2024 for Network Observability; Outperformer in the GigaOm Radar Report for AIOps 2024; and Visionary in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM).
