Idrotherm 2000, with over 40 years of activity in the production of pipes in thermoplastic materials, is a family company active in the production of innovative solutions in the distribution of water and gas, in the transport of industrial fluids, in telecommunications, in agricultural irrigation, in district heating, in geothermal energy and in wastewater of any type. With over 130 employees, Idrotherm 2000 achieves a turnover of 132 million euros and has 3 production plants distributed throughout Italy.
The company has always been very open to innovation and has always invested in technology. In recent years it has seen its business grow exponentially and its turnover double to the point of having the need to find a partner to turn to to outsource IT security activities.
Specifically, Idrotherm 2000 needed a fully managed and 24/7 operational threat management service that also included advanced incident detection and response, security orchestration between firewall, endpoint and network to ensure maximum coverage and protection. Not only service but also the guarantee of having a dedicated direct assistance team at your side for the isolation of threats and, last but not least, the possibility of enhancing the investments previously made for IT security.
Precisely because over the years the company had already equipped itself with Sophos solutions with which it has established a now consolidated relationship of trust, HiSolution, Platinum Partner of the cybersecurity vendor, responded to Idrotherm 2000's request and formulated a proposal tailored to the customer's requests.
A technological upgrade of all services related to cybersecurity was first implemented, followed by the replacement of the old equipment with 6 new Sophos firewalls in all customer locations and the implementation of the HiFirewall managed service with proactive control.
HiDetect was then implemented, the complete 24/7 managed service that allows you to actively detect and respond to cyber threats and manage them in less than 38 minutes. Thanks to HiDetect, HiSolution acts as Security SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for Idrotherm 2000, guaranteeing proactive monitoring and management across the entire firewall, endpoint, email, server and network security perimeter.
To complete the range of managed services offered, HiSolution proposed the adoption of HiMobile, a solution that simplifies the management and security of batches of company devices.
The implementation of the proposed solutions has allowed proactive prevention of all threats and the securing of servers, networks and endpoints of all devices in all locations where the customer operates. It also allowed the creation of constant investigations into the cause of threats to prevent possible future attacks, 24/7 monitoring and response thanks to the collaboration of the HiSolution team and the creation of detailed reporting on threats.
