With the agreement, Itway estimates revenue growth of 1.5 million over the next three years
Acronis, global leader in the cybersecurity and in the data protection, has entered into a strategic partnership with Itway S.p.A, a company listed on the Euronext Milan Market of the Italian Stock Exchange and operating in the IT sector for the design, production and distribution of technologies and solutions in the cyber security, AI, cloud computing and big data sectors.
The agreement provides for an increase in recurring turnover for the Itway Group of 1.5 million over the next three years, generated by managed cyber recovery services, operating in the Service Provider, Public Administration, Healthcare, Banking and Insurance, Energy, Manufacturing and Large-Scale Retail sectors.
Acronis, founded in 2003, has a large international presence and in particular in Europe. Initially positioned as a data protection vendor, it was a precursor in dedicating the utmost attention to the topic of cyber recovery, engineering its own platform and integrating the capabilities of "cyber clean recovery" from ransomware attacks, thanks to ad hoc analysis in its cloud. Acronis boasts a variety of on-premises, SaaS and managed service deployment models, and all modes are possible through a single Acronis agent.
“For the Itway Group the partnership with Acronis is strategic because it offers reliable solutions for cyber recovery, essential in a context in which cybercriminal threats and unexpected cyber disasters are on the increase. Furthermore, the company supports and trains its partners to help them design and implement solutions effectively, among other things natively enabling managed services" declares President G. Andrea Farina who adds "Collaborating with Acronis allows us to expand the market, offering Managed Cyber Recovery Services, which is a set of activities that customers increasingly delegate to specialized companies. Finally, being a partner of a recognized brand like Acronis will increase the company's credibility in the market.”
Acronis presents itself as a new point of reference to ensure effective and fast recovery after a cyber attack in the complex and dynamic reality of cyber resilience. Acronis boasts an infrastructure of more than 50 data centers distributed around the world, of which the majority are located in Europe (including Italy), ensuring that customer data can be stored where desired and in compliance with compliance and connectivity requirements.
"Acronis' competitive advantage lies in its ability to offer a holistic vision of Cyber Recovery up to cyber resilience. The company has understood that data protection is not limited to creating backup copies, but requires a broader approach that includes threat prevention, attack detection and rapid recovery of cyber clean systems in the event of an incident" declares Francesco Faenzi (Director of the Cyber Security & Resiliency BU Itway) who adds "Acronis has also understood the importance of managed service partners: recovery and resilience are in fact not limited to contingent projects over time nor to the implementation of solutions which, but are monitoring processes, with an associated capacity for prompt reaction and continuous improvement. As such they must be constantly monitored by a dedicated and specialized actor in managed services. In evaluating a cyber risk mitigation strategy, Itway's managed Cyber Recovery services in partnership with Acronis with Itway are the key."
Denis Valter Cassinerio, Senior Director & General Manager South EMEA of Acronis, comments "Itway is a consolidated reality in the cybersecurity sector having always adopted an innovative, as well as highly strategic, approach. Furthermore, with the Itway team we share a strong convergence on the issues of cyber resilience and we maintain a great commitment towards the development of technological and organizational functions essential for new implementations". "This agreement will allow us to bring companies of all sizes, from SMEs to Enterprises, the benefits of an integrated approach to cyber protection necessary in light of the entry into force of the NIS2 regulation - concludes Cassinerio -. Acronis solutions together with Itway's managed services will facilitate the raising of cybersecurity levels, which is now indispensable for the digital transformation of companies".
