Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, announced that Frieda He has joined the company as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
Frieda will lead Vertiv's global purchasing organization to further enhance supply chain resilience, support growth, optimize cost and value, and improve supplier quality across the company's entire portfolio, including end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for data centers, communications networks, and commercial and industrial applications.
Frieda brings nearly two decades of international experience in purchasing and supply chain leadership in the automotive and electrification sectors. In her most recent role, from December 2023 to March 2026, Frieda served as Chief Procurement Officer and member of Polestar's Group Management Team. He oversaw more than $3 billion in annual global spending across direct and indirect materials, supplier quality, industry R&D programs, cost management and global real estate, leading cross-functional international teams and driving cost reduction, governance and business transformation during times of industry disruption.

Prior to Polestar, Frieda held various leadership roles at Volvo Cars, including vice president and head of global propulsion & sustainability procurement, where she led an organization with annual spend in excess of $9 billion and played a key role in the company's electrification transformation. His experience includes managing supply chains during global crises, strengthening supplier quality and capabilities, promoting sustainability and regulatory compliance, as well as supporting major corporate transactions and joint ventures. In the early years of his professional career, he took on purchasing and supply chain roles in China and the Asia-Pacific region, developing deep expertise in global sourcing, cost engineering and supplier scouting.

Frieda holds degrees in general studies and business/commerce from Northeast Normal University in China, as well as an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford in England.
