Many initiatives launched to spread the culture of respect, starting from workplaces
Talentia Software, a leading company in the development of solutions for the management of business performance in the economic-financial and human resources area, joined the project Libellula, the first Italian network of companies united against violence against women and gender discrimination. The project was born in 2017, on the initiative of Zeta Service, a company that deals with labor consultancy and with ActionAid as Charity Partner, the independent international organization committed to fighting the causes of poverty.
About thirty companies have already joined the Libellula Project, including Talent Software, and from the meetings with the companies that participated in the research and from the 3,500 anonymous questionnaires collected, needs emerged such as: providing personal defense courses, activating specialized consultancy services, as well as workshops dedicated to the daughters and children of employees and the commitment of the company to guarantee equal opportunities for men and women.
"The company is the place where we all spend a good part of the day, within which we all convey messages and pass on values - underlines Angelica Coviello, Marketing Manager of Talentia Software. - It is therefore from the company that we must start to spread a new culture in the management of diversity, becoming promoters of respect for gender identities and differences, and as Talentia we are proud to have joined the initiative. "
Talentia has already implemented concrete actions, starting from the survey on the knowledge and dissemination of the phenomenon of violence through an anonymous internal survey, an activity that is still in progress and whose data will feed the research, to then define in the coming months a program of interventions on gender awareness and skills and on the development of actions dedicated to gender culture in the company.
"We fully share the mission of the network and we are committed to spreading the culture of respect, providing the tools to recognize, prevent and combat violence in all forms - concludes Coviello di Talentia". Our goal is to build a clear picture of how much the concept of violence against women is still little discussed in the company and we will take action to address this issue also in our organization ".
