Ivanti was recognized as a leader in IDC MarketScape 2020-2021 for UEM software

by Grandangolo Communications / Tuesday, 02 February 2021 / Published in Ivanti

The global recognition was achieved due to advanced security features, strong support of a wide range of devices and broad IT channel coverage

Ivanti Inc., the automation platform that helps make every IT connection smarter and more secure, was named a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Unified Endpoint Management Software 2020-2021 Vendor Assessment. This result was achieved following Ivanti's acquisition of MobileIron, a provider of UEM solutions for mobile devices.

“We believe this is confirmation that Ivanti/MobileIron provides one of the most complete and effective UEM solutions for mobile devices and PCs,” he said Alan Braithwaite, Senior Director of Product Management di Ivanti. "The acquisition of MobileIron has accelerated our roadmap to UEM, helping us discover, manage and protect any endpoint on any network. Looking ahead, we are well positioned to offer even more value to our customers by offering a fully integrated platform that brings together our UEM, security and IT service management stacks, and allows customers to actively and autonomously repair, protect and preserve their devices in the context of the Everywhere Enterprise.

Ivanti's UEM solution increases user and IT productivity by helping administrators collect device-specific data, automate software and operating system deployments, personalize work environments, and quickly resolve user issues. Ivanti UEM simplifies management processes by integrating actions to be taken with multiple IT solutions, through a single Ivanti console, providing automation across a wide range of systems, including Windows, Mac, ChromeOS, Linux, Unix, iOS, Android and IoT devices.

The IDC MarketScape report notes that: “Ivanti/MobileIron has robust support for both Windows and macOS endpoints, at a very advanced level, including operating system and third-party patches, hardware/software inventory, remote control, deployment, provisioning, and application support for legacy management functions and features such as device imaging (both Windows and Mac), GPO management support (Windows), printer management and configuration for (Windows/macOS) and modern and legacy app distribution (Windows and macOS) including DMG file distribution and managed support for the Mac App Store.”

"With the acquisition of MobileIron, Ivanti has expanded capabilities for modern management and endpoint security to become a powerful leader in EMU. The new company also has an extensive global network of mobile operators, resellers and enterprise infrastructure software partners," he said Phil Hochmuth, Program Vice President of Enterprise Mobility at IDC. “With the combined strengths of a combined company, every enterprise and SMB looking to centralize mobility management functions and tools should consider Ivanti.”
