The choice in the ecosystem of apps and integration solutions regarding security, compliance and IT productivity is significantly expanded
Milan – 30 May 2022 – Cohesity, a leader in next-generation data management, has announced the expansion of its marketplace, to include not only apps, but also the brand integrations that companies now rely on every day, in order to respond to the need, felt by an ever-increasing number of organizations, to find simple and effective ways to do more with their data.
By unifying all integrations and placing them in the Cohesity Marketplace, customers can explore and find the solutions they need to address their changing data management and protection needs in one place. These solutions can help customers improve security, increase the value of Cohesity's next-gen data management platform and address data management challenges.
"As the volume and value of data increases in organizations of every industry and size, so does the vulnerability of the data itself. It is critical that business leaders break down data silos and adopt integrated solutions to strengthen cybersecurity, improve operational productivity and gain more insights from their data," he said Kirk Law, Senior Vicepresident Research and Development di Cohesity. “Ensuring extensibility, while maintaining simplicity, is at the heart of Cohesity's approach to innovative data management, and this significant expansion of our marketplace takes us directly to the next phase of such an ambitious vision.”
“Adopting innovative data management means thinking about data management as a whole and moving from a set of point and isolated solutions to a platform approach,” he said Enrico Signoretti, Senior Data Storage Analyst at GigaOM. “For example, Cohesity offers an extensible platform that allows customers to leverage applications and integrations available on the marketplace, thereby consolidating solutions and providing access to third-party innovations to meet evolving needs.”
Cohesity offers access to a variety of integrations, making collaboration between security and IT teams even easier:
- Cisco SecureX: Automatically send Cohesity alerts about possible ransomware attacks directly to Cisco SecureX, where they can be recorded, analyzed and managed as security incidents, thanks to the combined investigation and response capabilities of the customer's security architecture.
- Palo Alto Networks Cortex™️ XSOAR: L’integration between Cohesity and the complete security orchestration, automation and response platform (SOAR) by Palo Alto Networks automates incident response when anomalies in backup data could indicate a ransomware attack.
- Entrust: Provides a secure way to control enterprise-wide access to business-critical data. In coordination with Cohesity's data management and encryption capabilities, the Entrust KeyControl solution helps ensure full lifecycle encryption key management, data protection and recovery in the event of a breach attempt or ransomware attack.
- Fortanix: Fortanix Data Security Manager (DSM) protects sensitive data across public, hybrid, multi-cloud and private cloud environments, allowing customers to use even the most sensitive applications across a wide range of environments. Cohesity is designed to encrypt backup data, while Fortanix manages the keys, distinguishing their respective tasks.
- Parabola: BluVault On-premises Backup is a robust data backup solution, designed to safeguard endpoint data with on-premises storage. Parablu Endpoint Backup for laptops and mobile devices stores backup files in Cohesity, allowing organizations to restore endpoint data from Cohesity backups.
“We are excited to see the piattaforma Data Security Manager (DSM) from Fortanix, an industry leader with FIPS 140-2 Level 3 HSM certification and key management, on the Cohesity Marketplace,” said Faiyaz Shahpurwala, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Fortanix. “By combining our easy-to-use, integrated, encrypted key management solutions with Cohesity's next-gen data management platform for data protection, data recovery and threat detection, customers can not only improve their security posture, but also help ensure compliance with regulations such as Shrems II and GDPR.”
"IT integration and data resilience have become top of mind for organizations around the world. We are excited to be part of the Cohesity Marketplace for Endpoint Data Security," said Randy De Meno, Chief Strategy Officer of Parablu. “Combining the advanced data management, protection and recovery capabilities of Cohesity's next-gen data management platform with our endpoint data protection solutions helps strengthen the cyber resilience of our mutual customers, enabling partners to help modernize their customers' data strategy.”
