The expanded manufacturing capacity will support the production of Vertiv's E&I power solutions and Powerbar Gulf systems
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and uninterruptible power solutions, has inaugurated a new factory in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, to expand the production of integrated modular solutions (IMS), low-voltage switchgear and busway devices. This expansion will allow Vertiv to effectively satisfy the constantly evolving demand for the products and services offered.
The facility is of strategic importance in Vertiv's supply chain for its global business activities and is ideally located to meet the needs of customers in the Middle East, Africa, Australia and South Asia. The site is the result of an extension of the current E&I Powerbar Gulf factory, with an additional surface area of 5,700 m2 which will serve as a production area and offices.

The new factory will produce a range of power distribution and continuity solutions, including:
- Low voltage (LV) electrical panels, which ensure a continuous flow of electricity necessary to support the needs of those working in hybrid environments, to power business activities and provide digital products and services. All LV switchgear is custom made using a modular design that can be configured to suit site requirements.
- Vertiv™ Powerbar iMPB, a system that allows companies to cost-effectively optimize and adapt their power distribution infrastructure over time, maximizing availability with the continuous delivery of energy to critical services.
- Prefabricated modular solutions, that offer an integrated turnkey system for data centers. Fully assembled power modules are designed, manufactured and tested in manufacturing facilities, ready to be installed on a site as a complete pre-integrated unit.
In November 2021, Vertiv has completed the acquisition of E&I Engineering Ireland Limited and its subsidiary Powerbar Gulf LLC based in Ras Al Khaimah, to further expand, at an international level, the offering portfolio for data centers and other critical digital infrastructures and continuity solutions.
