Riverbed Alluvio leverages intelligent automation to optimize workflows in siled environments for faster time to value. Integration with IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow, enables intelligent ticketing, enabling companies to optimize workflows, processes and incident management procedures
Riverbed, the leader in Unified Observability, announced the release of new intelligent automation workflows for the entire Alluvio Unified Observability portfolio. Powered by the Alluvio LogiQ Engine, the new capabilities use pattern recognition, correlation and automation to enable IT to “shift left” by filtering out noise and reducing escalations, allowing teams to focus on critical issues by feeding up-to-date information to IT service management (ITSM) tools.
With the increasing complexity of modern IT environments, organizations are grappling with a multitude of data and alerts, often leading to information overload and difficulty in prioritizing and resolving critical incidents. Alluvio's automation and analytics capabilities revolutionize the way IT teams manage unified observability and incidents, streamlining workflows and enabling a more proactive approach to IT operations.
Automation and analytics capabilities, seamlessly integrated into the Alluvio Unified Observability platform, allow organizations to automate repetitive tasks, analyze large volumes of data and correlate events across various monitoring tools, bringing unprecedented efficiency and accuracy to incident resolution. By automating manual processes, teams can shift their focus from routine, mundane tasks to more strategic, value-added activities, driving innovation and optimizing service delivery.
In this new release of the Alluvio portfolio, four key intelligent automation use cases have been identified that extract critical information from Alluvio monitoring results and existing third-party tools enabling faster resolution times and delivering an improved digital employee experience (DEX):
- Incident response: It is made easier thanks to runbooks that automate problem solving by replicating the best practices of IT experts and using more data from Alluvio and third-party solutions. Alluvio IQ replicates advanced investigative processes by correlating granular performance data in real time and leveraging automated investigations to gather context from Alluvio and third-party telemetry, filtering noise and prioritizing, limiting the volume of alerts to those most critical to the business. By combining Alluvio Network Performance Management (NPM) and Digital Experience Management (DEM) telemetry with third-party data, intelligent correlation and workflow automation, Alluvio IQ securely delivers context-rich information and insights that enable IT to solve complex problems before users are impacted.
- Ticketing intelligente ServiceNow: With this update, IT has automatic generation of priority tickets that are up-to-date and contain all the context needed to quickly resolve issues, directly from ServiceNow. Integrations between ServiceNow and Alluvio products uniquely replicate advanced investigative processes and provide service desk operators and network operations centers with contextualized insights directly in the ServiceNow user interface.
- Automate security investigations: Alluvio IQ bridges the gap between NetOps and SecOps, leveraging automation to filter forensic data from the Alluvio NPM portfolio for use in traditional security tools, such as SIEM and SOAR. SecOps teams need to easily access all sources of data and integrate it into their security tools. With this latest update, Alluvio IQ provides out-of-the-box runbooks for security investigations and threat detection that give SecOps teams easy access to Alluvio NPM data. This allows for in-depth threat investigations with broader context, reducing risk to the business.
- Desktop fixes: Alluvio Aternity already has automation for desktop remediation, and this capability has been enhanced with Alluvio LogiQ Engine. Currently in Private Beta, LogiQ Engine replicates expert workflows, gathering broader context for desktop issues, intelligently selecting a solution, or routing issues to other tools in the ecosystem, such as chatbots or ITSM tools.
“We are excited about introducing these automation and analytics capabilities to our Alluvio Unified Observability Platform,” said Richard Tworek, Chief Technology Officer, Alluvio di Riverbed. "We understand the challenges IT teams face in managing complex environments and the importance of adopting the shift-left approach. By automating routine tasks, we aim to free up valuable time and resources, allowing teams to focus on the most critical issues while ensuring the smooth operation of essential applications, so that organizations can deliver a superior digital experience to employees."
The integration of Alluvio's automation capabilities with leading ITSM tools further enhances the value proposition for customers. By centralizing information within a familiar and efficient ITSM platform, organizations can leverage existing incident management workflows, processes and procedures. This integration eliminates silos, improves collaboration and enables more effective communication between IT teams, ultimately leading to faster incident resolution and improved service delivery and employee digital experience.
“Next-generation observability leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate the resolution of basic and complex IT problems, while providing data-rich context for issues that require human intervention,” he said Shamus McGillicuddy, Vice President of Research di Enterprise Management Associates. “Riverbed's release of intelligent automation workflows across the Alluvio Unified Observability portfolio provides the insights to perform good analysis so IT teams can improve and accelerate IT operations and security incident response.”
Alluvio Unified Observability is a secure, highly reliable and scalable SaaS platform for cloud-native observability services, such as Alluvio IQ. The platform is part of Riverbed's Alluvio Unified Observability portfolio, which includes industry-leading visibility tools for network performance management (NPM), IT Infrastructure Monitoring (ITIM), Digital Experience Management (DEM), Application Performance Management (APM) and End User Experience Monitoring (EUEM). Alluvio automates the process of collecting and correlating over 10,000 metrics per minute across times, devices, locations and applications. It also provides automated analytics workflows designed to replicate the best practices of the most experienced IT teams, allowing companies to eliminate issues, de-escalation, prioritize and broaden skills that on average remain concentrated in the minds of a few within an IT team.
