New challenges and opportunities for the increasingly ESG compliant legal world
Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, was among the protagonists of an event promoted and organized by iBicocca, project of the University of Milan Bicocca and created by Vertiv in collaboration with 4cLegal to talk about innovation, technology and new professions in the legal market. The meeting took place on May 31st at the University of Milan, Bicocca, in Piazza dell'Ateneo Nuovo, 1 in Milan.
Increasing digitalisation has triggered profound changes in the way we live and work, leading organizations to prefer new approaches, where data, transparency and efficiency are the main cornerstones. With it, sustainability guides business realities today, in its three meanings contained in the acronym ESG. The world of Legal is also going through a lively internal transformation in this direction: in other words, the typical professional profile governs processes, manages data from a business oriented perspective and integrates ESG factors into its daily work also in the legal sector.
And if ESG strategies represent, today, the foundations on which dynamic and innovative companies build their brand and image, differentiate themselves on the market and attract and retain their talents, it will also be necessary to adequately prepare young lawyers on sustainability issues.
Moderated by Alessandro Renna, founder and CEO of 4cLegal, the May event had among the protagonists of the round table: Giovanna Moschetto, VP & General Counsel EMEA of Vertiv, Patrizia Pasetti, Head of Governance and Digital Innovation of the Legal and Tax Department of TIM, Pierluigi Perri, Associate Professor at Chiomenti, and Caterina Schiavon, HR Manager of Vertiv to encourage a moment of discussion and to discover the impact that innovation, digitalisation and sustainability have on professional figures, which are increasingly transversal today.
At the end, an in-depth debate was held with the students.
The event was the first of a series of events that Vertiv and 4cLegal are planning with Italian and international universities to encourage the exchange of ideas and stimulate new approaches.
