Arrow Electronics, a global technology provider, has unveiled a series of significant updates to its ArrowSphere cloud management platform to facilitate monitoring of multicloud and hybrid cloud systems.
The updates focus on three key elements for cloud business: sustainability (GreenOps), cost optimization (FinOps) and security (SecOps).
“As the market shifts to 'as-a-service', Arrow is launching new cloud assessment and management tools through the ArrowSphere platform to help channel partners promote XaaS services to their customers,” said Shannon McWilliams, ArrowSphere global vice president for Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions business. “Our roadmap for ArrowSphere will continue to support channel partners through business transformation, including economic, environmental and security changes.”
The new GreenOps, FinOps and SecOps dashboards provide an aggregated view of all cloud accounts managed by a channel partner. This helps to improve cost management and security analyses, better addressing the growing demand for global environmental intervention to reduce CO₂ emissions, in line with the upcoming European CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) regulation.
“Over the past decade, ArrowSphere has evolved from a transactional platform to a fully integrated framework that supports the cloud business,” said Eric Gourmelen, global vice president and chief technology officer of cloud for Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions business.” Our latest enhancements focus on simplifying and transparency of cost management, monitoring sustainability levels and ensuring that end-user solutions are protected from an ever-evolving threat environment.”
Major updates include:
- GreenOps – the sustainability dashboard is designed to help channel partners implement solutions that have minimal impact on the environment. As environmental regulations put increasing pressure on companies to report their carbon emissions, ArrowSphere's sustainability dashboard features reporting capabilities and a global monitoring tool that allows channel partners and their customers to measure the carbon footprint of their cloud operations.
- FinOps – Cost Optimization Dashboard enables channel partners to make informed decisions with customers on how to optimize cloud spend. Thanks to visibility into the entire cloud infrastructure through an integrated dashboard, it provides recommendations on how to change spending.
- SecOps – the security dashboard offers a unique scoring model, where 100% means complete risk coverage. This allows channel partners to instantly check the security posture of all customers, identify potential threats and take proactive actions.
