Global turnover growing by 9% year-on-year, to 691 million euros, driven by the EMEA region (+15%). Adjusted EBITDA at 100 million euros (+7%). B2B revenues up 13%, with Enterprise at +21% and Services at +56%
ESET, the global European leader in the cybersecurity market, presented its 2024 financial results, confirming a positive trend of growth, solidity and constant investments in technological innovation.
"Many talk about a long-term vision, few manage to actually materialize it. 2024 marked the third consecutive decade of growth for ESET: a rare milestone in the technology sector, which reflects the trust of our customers, the quality of our products and our innovative spirit -, commented Richard Marko, CEO of ESET. - In particular, we have recorded strong momentum in the EMEA region, where our solutions continue to establish themselves. This result is also confirmed in the B2B segment, with revenues growing by 13%, excellent performance in Enterprise (+21%) and a real boom in Services (+56%).
AI enhances threat detection and response: the results of Research and Development activity
In 2024, the 847 experts on ESET's global R&D team have introduced major improvements to ESET LiveGuard Advanced (ELGA), the proprietary cloud module that uses behavioral analysis to counter targeted attacks and unknown threats. The project integrated the latest innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, improving scanning and filtering capabilities and reducing the computational load, with excellent results in comparative tests.
It was also launched during the year ESET AI Advisor, which enables security teams to use multi-agent AI to analyze risks and manage incidents more effectively. This tool fully exploits the extended detection and response (XDR) approach, intervening on threats before they become real attacks. AI Advisor is integrated into ESET Inspect, the XDR module of the ESET PROTECT platform, which has stood out in the industry 2024 MITER ATT&CK® ratings.
"Our constant investment in research translates into tangible benefits for a growing number of customers -, underlined Marko. - Today, cybercriminals increasingly exploit artificial intelligence and automated tools. Our commitment in this field not only allows us to respond effectively, but also significantly contributed to revenue growth in 2024, especially in the B2B segment".
Advanced search, threat intelligence and new solutions for companies and partners
ESET Research has always been at the heart of ESET, fueling both product development — such as ESET Threat Intelligence — and an ever-deeper understanding of the global threat environment, benefiting businesses and end users.
Among the main results achieved in 2024:
– The discovery of Operation Texonto, a disinformation and psychological warfare operation linked to Russia, aimed at Ukrainian readers and also with objectives in the European context
– Malware analysis NGate, capable of cloning the NFC data of physical payment cards to target banking customers
– The study of the activities of APT groups Gamaredon e GoldenJackal, active in Ukraine and Europe
– The publication of an analysis on the backend modules of the malware RedLine Stealer, conducted with the Dutch police, the FBI and Eurojust
"In 2024 we consolidated relationships with important government bodies and started new collaborations, especially in the field of cyber threat intelligence -, declared Roman Kovac, Chief Research Officer of ESET. - We continue to work side by side with authorities such as Europol, ENISA and CISA to enhance the security of businesses, institutions and citizens".
Also in 2024, ESET updated the offering of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, designed respectively for SMEs and large companies. The initiative contributed to double-digit growth in the SMB, MSP and Enterprise segments, supported by more targeted strategies to meet the needs of critical infrastructures and more complex environments. ESET Corporate Solutions has accelerated the delivery of tailored solutions for high-criticality environments.
Among the partnerships developed or expanded during the year:
– Partnership con Intel to integrate endpoint protection with Intel hybrid processor architectures
– Development of advanced XDR solutions thanks to the agreement with Stellar Cyber
– Integration with the Mindflow's GenAI platform for hyperautomation of the processes
– Definition of a new standard in endpoint management for MSPs con SuperOps
– Integration of threat intelligence feeds with Filigran for management via OpenCTI
– Exchange data and insights in real time with Arctic Wolf's MDR platform
Progress. Protected.
In 2024, ESET has continued to redefine the boundaries of cybersecurity through advanced research and technological innovation. At the center of this transformation are artificial intelligence and machine learning, which allow the development of increasingly intelligent, rapid and adaptive solutions. Collaboration with the academic world and the constant work of internal teams ensure technologies capable not only of responding to current challenges, but of anticipating future ones.
Going forward, ESET is focusing on a cloud-first strategy, robust MDR capabilities and AI-native technologies inspired by the principle prevention-first: prevent before having to react. A constant commitment to guarantee security, flexibility and leadership in a context of increasingly sophisticated threats.
