Cohesity scores best in terms of total capacity and recommendations
Cohesity, a leader in innovative data management, announces that it has been named "Leader" in the 2022-2023 Omdia Universe report "Protecting and Recovering Data in the Cloud Era", dedicated to data protection and recovery in the cloud era.
Omdia, a global leader in technology research, positioned Cohesity among the leading solution providers in its latest report “Omdia Universe for Data Protection and Backup in the Cloud”. Cohesity earned this recognition for its modern approach to data protection and robust backup and recovery, as well as monitoring and reporting capabilities. Furthermore, it has earned the highest capability rating, above other vendors in the market, thanks to high ratings in terms of solution breadth and capacity, roadmap and strategy. The report highlights Cohesity's significant innovations in security, data management and customer value.
The following also emerge from the Omdia report:
- Strong security and anti-ransomware capabilities: Cohesity ranked first in the “security and ransomware” subcategory score, primarily for its capabilities to “protect data from attacks, detect an attack early, and recover quickly from an attack” with automated management approaches. Cohesity guarantees customers the ability to restore their data securely, thanks to control over their storage repository and immutable backup architecture.
- Cohesity DataProtect: Omdia also gave specific recognition to Cohesity's unified, highly automated data protection solution, which offers easy recovery by eliminating the complexity of traditional or legacy solutions. This is thanks to DataProtect's data store mapping capabilities and the more controlled approach of the appliances which is "fundamental to guarantee almost instant recovery, to restore individual files and automate the recovery process".
- Cohesity Helios: Cohesity's all-in-one management and reporting solution has earned rave reviews from Omdia, thanks to its holistic view of data monitoring and recovery. Helios offers robust end-to-end monitoring and in-depth analytics to ensure operational efficiency and agility.
- Quality customer experience: Cohesity received the highest score in customer recommendations, demonstrating its ability to provide a customer experience that goes beyond technology.
